Student Association and the NUS
Student Union Committee
The committee has been formed this year by a group of active students to develop events and idea to improve college life for all learners.
Currently this is made up of:
Jake Hyslop and Adam Scovall – Student Governors
Vacancy: Assistant Student Governor
Lauren Boothroyd and Kevin Riley – Campaigns Officers
Matt Fletcher – Student Activities Officer
James Hardaker – Treasurer
They will be running an AGM (Annual General Meeting) on Friday 22nd May 2 – 3pm in Duke St LRC for all learners in teh college to come along to and find out more.

Student Union
As we are affiliated (attached to) the NUS (National Union of Students). This allows us to offer you things like NUS cards – which give students fantastic discounts in many areas.
NUS information
Founded in 1922, NUS, the National Union of Students represents five million students across the UK, providing them with a united voice, excellent benefits and helpful research and information.
The Liverpool Community College Student Union is your link with NUS.
NUS campaigns on issues relevant to students in both further and higher education. It negotiates discounts with companies on your behalf and offers advice on issues such as housing, health, drugs, education, disabilities, money and safer sex.
When you enrol on a course lasting at least one term you will be given an NUS card, provided you are aged over 16. This card entitles you to discounts locally and nationally.
