Deaf Student Support

Deaf Student Support is a team of highly qualified professionals; including Communication Support Workers (CSWs), a Teacher of the Deaf and a CACDP approved BSL assessor.

Support could include:

• BSL communication
• Note-taking
• Language support
• Deaf Fire Text Alert system
• Text phones
• Loop systems
• BSL assessments

Training:

Deaf Awareness training cross-college for all learners and staff

What next?

• Visit Learner Services to discuss the course you are interested in
• Complete an application form – if support is required, you must tick the box – DEAF / HARD OF HEARING
• We will ask you to come into College to discuss your support
