About Student Services
We are here to help you to make good choices and support you along the way. We will do this….
* While you are thinking about your options
* When you are moving onto other college courses, higher education or employment
If you need advice and guidance to help you to think about your next step, our team of Career and Learning Advisers can talk to you about your interests and career ideas. They can also advise you about other college support from our student finance advisers, learning mentor team and counselling service, as well as giving you information about other agencies such as:
* Young Person’s Advisory Service (YPAS)
* Brook Advisory Centres
* Abacus Clinics
* Liverpool Student Homes
If you are a young person under 19, Connexions Personal Advisers can help you with career planning and job search and provide support and information on health, lifestyle and a range of other issues.
You are always welcome to drop in if you need us and, if you are at one of the 5 main centres, our staff will come to see you during the year to tell you about our services and talk to you about your next step.
After your studies, you may be starting to think about moving on to other college courses, higher education or employment. If you are applying for university, our staff will support you through your UCAS application and if you are considering employment, we will help you with your CV and interview preparation. Have you visited your Student Services Careers Resource and Information Library?
How can I contact you?
You can book an appointment to see one of our Career and Learning Advisers or, if you prefer, you can drop-in but you will need to check our opening times as our service varies at a couple of centres
What if I need more specialist advice?
Our staff will be able to make you an appointment to see one of our Student Finance and Welfare Advisers if you need them or, if you have a quick finance query, you can e-mail AskAnn@liv-coll.ac.uk
If you are an international student, an experienced member of our team can help you with fees and visa issues.
Do you want to know what I think about Student Services?
Yes we do! Our quality standards are very important to us. We are interested in finding out how well we do when you are making your first enquiry and at all the other times you meet us during your study. We’re also really interested in what you think about the information on our web page.
You can complete our feedback form called “How did we do?” now if you have some views already! You can also fill in one of our feedback cards at your local Student Services, or you can e-mail us here.
Can I make a suggestion?
Yes we welcome suggestions! Why not complete our on-line suggestion form? Don’t forget to give us contact details if you want a reply.
