I have many Participants in my course that I do not recognise
When you view the participants list there will be a few names you do not recognise, some of the names there have an icon next to them that looks like a closed eyelash. This indicates that there is a hidden enrolment, these are teachers and LRC staff who have access to all courses on the Student Intranet (the Student Intranet Manager role).
Only you can see these names listed, your students can only see the names of other students enrolled on the course.
To test this, switch your role to Student using the drop down list at the top right of your course screen, then click on the Participants link in the People block (usually located at the top left). You will see a much smaller list of people.
