The Student Intranet won’t let me Log In!

A few things you can try if the Student Intranet will not let you log in…

  1. Before you can log into the Student Intranet for the first time, you must have logged onto a college PC at least once. The PC will then force you to change your password from its default.  Now you can use your new password to log into the Student Intranet.

  2. Ensure Caps-Lock is off and Num-Lock is on. Both the Username and Password are case sensitive, this means that upper case letters are recognised as being different to lower case.

  3. Check that you are using the same Username and Password that you use to log onto a college (student) pc.

  4. If you can log onto a college PC, try changing your password. This can be done by pressing the “CTRL ALT and DEL” keys (at the same time) and then selecting “Change Password” from the window that opens.

Make sure you actually enter something for the new password, as a blank password will not be recognised by the Student Intranet, although it may be recognised by the PC. Now log out of the PC, and log back in with the new password. Then make sure you use the new password for the Student Intranet.

  5. If you still cannot gain access to the Student Intranet, ask the either a tutor or an LRC helpdesk to reset your password college.  And try again.

  6. Finally if nothing above works, please read the following Help Centre article…
