Important Changes to Your Staff VLE Login
One less password to remember!
It is now possible for you to merge your STAFF VLE user account with your staff network login. This means you will be able to log into the Student Intranet as a teacher or staff member using the same details you would use to log into a STAFF PC or the STAFF webmail system.
If you have never used the Student Intranet VLE before then you can just log in straight away using your staff network login, there is no need to request an account.
Teachers and members of staff who already have user accounts on the VLE will need to log in using their old Moodle/VLE login details. Once logged in, at the top of the My Courses page a box entitled “One less password to remember!” can be seen. By following the instructions within this box you can convert your old Moodle/VLE login to your staff network login.
Once your account has been converted, this means that whenever your college network password changes then that new password will also be updated to the Student Intranet & VLE. Therefore you will have one less password to remember!
Staff can now log in as students…
As you may know, students are automatically given access to the Student Intranet VLE and their relevant online course areas. On occasion there are staff members that are also enrolled on courses within the college. Up until now these staff members have not been able to take advantage of being automatically given access their relevant student areas on the VLE.
Due to the recent changes, staff members can now log into the VLE as students using their STUDENT network login details (the same used to log into a STUDENT PC). Doing this will automatically give members of staff access to any course areas they might be enrolled in as a Student.
