College Charity 2010/2011
The votes are now in and after a keenly fought contest you have voted for the Motor Neurone Disease Association as the college charity for 2010/2011.
Motor neurone disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks the upper and lower motor neurones. Degeneration of the motor neurones leads to weakness and wasting of muscles, causing increasing loss of mobility in the limbs and difficulties with speech, swallowing and breathing.
The college will now make contact with the association with a view to working together throughout the coming year on a variety of fundraising activities.
