Student's Principal Briefings

Through consultation with the Student Union Committee, Maureen Mellor has arranged to run a series of "Student's Principal Briefings". The aim of these is to update students with current information which affects their college experience, keeping them informed of changes and developments.

In brief the agenda will look at:

  • National FE information
  • EMA
  • Student equality matters
  • New College centre update

This is open to all students to attend, with a session taking place in each site...

16-25 worried about your sexual health...

...or that you may have an infection?

The Chlamydia screening nurses will be in your centre testing for this infection and giving out more general information on sexual health. Take advantage of this service as it is free and confidential.

Chlamydia can be cured easily and a simple urine sample is all the nurses will need.

Your sexual health is important - infections need to be treated and do not cure themselves. So pop in and see the friendly team on the day in your centre.

NUS EMA Survey

Education Maintenance Allowances (EMAs) are weekly payments to young people in further education, to help them pay for costs such as travel, food and books.

EMAs may be reviewed after the General Election. NUS wants to find out how they are working for students and any of the problems you are facing. This short survey aims to get some of that information, and you can help to improve things for all students if you can answer our questions. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.

Complete the survey here: www.surveymonkey.com/s/ema2010
